Asuraid

Welcome to my commission carrd! Name's Aid, though you can often find me as Asuraid.I'm a freelance artist who does digital art commissions, and makes roleplay resources to sell on ko-fi!

f.a.q

What do you use to draw?I use a 12.9-inch 6th gen iPad Pro and Apple Pencil alongside Clip Studio Paint Pro! Beforehand, I used a Wacon Intuos Pro tablet with CSP on the computer (the iPad convenience won out).

What is the best way to contact you?Preferably through X / Twitter DMs or VGen (if you're commissioning me through there and have an account); those are the two I monitor more actively and get notifications for.

Why does some of your art look crunchy/fuzzy/wavy?Short Answer: AI bros and stealers suck.Long Answer: It's thanks to using Glaze to protect my artwork from being fed to AI databases for generative images. The side effect is the weird rainbow-y fuzz over my artwork to be safe. I also tend to only post JPEGs that are in lower quality. Commissioners will always get the clean versions, but anything posted online (that's not a basic sketch or meme) will get glazed for my safety and sake of mind.

I. GENERAL INFO

NOTICE: This is the CONDENSED version of the TOS.Detailed info may be missing. The sole purpose of this condensed version is for the Customer to have an easy overview of the main points. Please refer to the full TOS below for more detailed terms, which WILL apply to your orders.

  • Payment is upfront, or can be 50/50 if the customer requests it. Must be paid in USD.

  • The product will be delivered digitally.

  • I will not be responsible for loss of product once it has been delivered.

  • Orders are to be made through VGen or Artistree (personal preference).

  • The customer has the right to three complete revisions in the sketching phase.

  • The turnaround time for a commission can vary, up to two (2) months at max. Inquires on commission progress are always welcomed.

  • The customer has the right to reasonable amounts of minor edits after completion (ex. eye colour change).

  • I can cancel and refund any order at any time.

  • The customer can request a refund at any time (but not a chargeback).

  • Refund amounts depend on how much of the artwork has been completed.

  • If in 3 days there is no response to my message about your commission confirmation, I will move on to the next person.

  • I retain the rights to post the commission work on social media sites for advertising purposes (though the customer can request for it to remain private or anonymous).

  • Products cannot be used for commercial use without additional fees.

  • Customer does not hold the right to use the product in any blockchain-related technology, including NFTs, cryptocurrency, or future inventions in the space—nor to be used in any AI image generation technologies.

  • If at any point the Customer purchases a commission without paying a commercial fee, but it is discovered that it's being used for commercial purposes, the Customer will be blacklisted from further commissions from me unless the commercial fee is paid.

  • Not following these rules can result in me choosing to cancel your commission and refund you.

II. PAYMENT

  • Payment is made in USD via VGen's processing payment.

  • All USD commissions must all be paid in full upfront; I am open to taking 50-50 if the customer requests it specifically.

  • Work will not start until payment is received.

  • I do not take cryptocurrency as payment, and never will. If you try to pay in cryptocurrency and insist on doing so, I will cancel your commission.

  • Tips are appreciated, but definitely not expected.

  • I will never haggle prices, do not try to undercut my own prices I've set; if you do not like them, go find someone else.

  • A design fee may be present if your references compile of only different images or of written descriptions. It usually ranges from 25%–50% pending on complexity. I like to link to this twitter post for what I’d expect for references made out of a collage of images.

III. DELIVERY & PROCESS

  • The customer will digitally receive a transparent PNG version and a PNG version with a background (if applicable) on VGen's site, Artistree's site (or if I'm doing work for a different site, such as Flight Rising, then you'll receive it on that site though a Google Drive link).

  • If there is no email provided, I will use a Google Drive link, but please save your commission, I will not keep these files permanently in the Google Drive. Any other method of delivery, either digital or physical, has to be mutually agreed upon.

  • I cannot be held accountable for a loss of access to the delivery method, loss of delivered files, impediments such as spam filters or any other technical obstacles outside my responsibility.

  • Upon delivery of the product, it is the customer's responsibility to store it properly. Loss of product due to negligence will not be reimbursed by me. I can not guarantee that the original copy of the product will be available in the case that the customer loses their files.

To begin an order, please go to my VGen page or to my Artistree page!Work in progress shots are often sent like this to double-check and receive approval:

  • Sketches will be sent to be approved before cleaning up/linearting occurs; this where major changes can occur and is where the base for the commission is set up. After this point, I will only do minor alterations.

  • Upon lineart completion.

  • Upon finishing adding flat colours.

  • After this point, with approval of the lineart and the flat colouring, the next piece will be the final product.

  • I do often send work in progress pictures even between all of these to keep the customer updated, so this is not a hard rule that I only send WIPs at these points, just that these are guaranteed.

  • I will always wait for a green light to continue beyond the sketch—and will always double-check if there are any alterations—and the same with the lineart.

The time for a commission to be completed can be varied; I can finish it in the same day, a week, or up to 2 months; I have a 2 month guarantee unless there are major issues which I will notify you of. My work queue and progress can be found on my Trello.Other factors influencing the commission speed can include:

  • Health (physical / mental).

  • Order of commission.

  • Complexity / commission type.

  • Work.

  • Family issues.

  • Technical issues.

If any major issues come up that impact my ability to make commissions, I will let you know about it. Inquiries on the progress of the commission are always more than welcomed as long as they're reasonable and not persistent.

IV. REVISIONS

For the most part, sketches will be the best place to request changes, up to 3 complete revisions can be requested during the sketch phase. The customer has the right to a reasonable amount of minor edits after the sketch phase, such as changing eye colour, fixing a small detail, up to an additional 10% of the total time spent on creating the originally delivered commission. Any requests above that, however minor, will incur additional charges.Any change due to miscommunication, or me missing something that was explicitly stated, will not incur the revision cost.

V. COMMERCIAL / USAGE POLICY

I, the artist, hold the right to the produced creation, not the commissioner.Commercial usage will only apply for anything that will be used for merchandise, branding/marketing (ex. art of your VTuber, use on stream overlays, a post advertising your stream/shop, or schedule overlays), as an asset in monetized content (ex. in a game/visual novel that you will be making money off of, monetized YouTube videos), or if it's something that'll facilitate your own commissions (like a carrd).Usually, commercial usage will be 100% extra of the commission price, and this is only if a service does not have the commercial price already baked into the cost, or already has it as an add-on option. If at any point a commission is purchased without paying a commercial fee, but I find out later on it's being used for commercial purposes, you will be blacklisted from further commissions from me unless the commercial fee is paid.

I, the artist, reserve the right to:

  • Include the commissioned work on a portofolio, online profile, commission sheets, etc. All pieces will be Glazed against AI theft, and their JPEG versions will be posted with a watermark denoting it as a commission.

  • Modify, edit, and repurpose the commissioned work.

  • Claim the commissioned work as my work.

  • Reproduce the artwork for prints, merchandise, etc. (if it is a fanart commission / something for an existing IP).

The commissioner is allowed to:

  • Use the copyrighted commission for personal use only unless agreed otherwise (if it's for a VTuber, commercial usage will be required).

  • Ask the commission to remain private if they do so desire, but do let me know otherwise I assume I am allowed to post it online.

  • Reserve the right to remain anonymous if they do not wish for their handle to be included.

  • Print the commission, and claim the right of their character(s) but not the creation itself.

  • Use the commission to promote themselves with proper credit given and with commercial usage.

  • Repost the commission on other social media sites with proper credit; I usually do post my commissions on Twitter, ko-fi, deviantART, and Tumblr unless asked to keep it private.

On the other end, the commissioner is not allowed to:

  • Reproduce/use the copyrighted commission commercially or on merchandise without my consent.

  • Use the art in any blockchain-related technology, including NFTs, cryptocurrency, or any future inventions in the space—nor in any AI image generation technologies.

  • Take credit for the creation of the commission.

  • Remove any watermarks/signatures.

  • Alter the commission without my, the artist’s, consent — or by extension, deface the commission.

  • Use the commission as a “base” for other people to colour or to make adoptables from, etc. If this is the case, then I should be cut in for any profit made on your adopts.

If you break the copyright infringement in any way, every right you had to the drawing will be retracted. With commerical rights you are allowed to make any sort of merch with the commission. Use it in books, covers, as merchandise, change it to your liking and promote your own brand with. Credit is still required for usage of the commission, even if altered or edited.

VI. CANCELING / REFUNDING POLICY

I have the right to cancel and refund the money for your commission at any time and a refund will be issued via PayPal depending on how much work has been completed. You can also request a refund if you require it; if I have not started the work, you will get the full 100%, but if the work is already in progress, you will only get a partial refund depending on where I am in the process, and if the artwork is finished, you cannot get a refund.

Sketch / Lines: 75%

Flats: 50%

Shading: 25%

If you purposefully file a chargeback against me, your right to everything I have ever made for you will be retracted and I will fight to get that money back. You will be forbidden to ever commission me again and I will give a warning out on social media. The same can be said if you cancel payment in any form without discussing it with me and ignoring any contact attempts.Any statement can be bound to change if discussed with me, the artist, prior to the commission. Terms of Service are subject to change at any time.

Name's Asuraid, also better known as Aid or Andreea! Although I am working as a Game Designer, doing art has been a part of my life for many years, so I'd still love to put my skills to use in drawing when I have the time.I am a big lover of Genshin Impact / Honkai Star Rail, MXTX's danmei works, FFXIV, and doggos. You'll usually see me yelling over my own OCs on my Twitter. I sometimes roleplay in my spare time.My Twitter is the fastest way you can get to me! I only check my email and tumblr sporadically.
